We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to join our team and bring their panache and flair to capture the mood on the street in our ready-to-wear line. As a Fashion Designer, you will design formal dress code of inter level executive level for men and women for Moris Media. You will be responsible for researching and interpreting fashion trends, creating sketches by hand, producing technical drawings, and collaborating with a team to develop new concepts. Additionally, you will need to display a keen sense of business acumen to ensure that your designs align with our product strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the design process from conception through to final styling.
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seek design inspiration.
  • Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts.
  • Ensure that products are in agreement with business strategy.
  • Select fabrics and trims.
  • Create production sketches for development packages.
  • Collaborate with technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate.
  • Review products for style and fit during presentations.
  • Present story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or a related field.
  • 5+ years of design experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Availability to travel for research and product development.
  • Ability to create sketches by hand.
  • Excellent design and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent sense of style and color.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
