Moris Media is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Director to lead the HR function for our moCal brand. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that support the growth and success of moCal. You will be a trusted advisor to senior management, ensuring compliance with all employment laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for all employees.

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives that align with Moris Media's overall business strategy and goals.
  • Talent Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract, identify, and hire top talent across all departments at Moris Media.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, including fostering a positive work environment, addressing employee concerns, and handling disciplinary actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure Moris Media complies with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate HR-related risks, including those related to employee relations, safety, and data privacy.
  • Learning & Development: Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • HR Information Systems: Oversee the implementation and use of HR information systems to streamline HR processes and data management.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track HR metrics and report on key HR data to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

    Proficiency in HR technology and experience using HRIS to manage employee data, payroll, and other HR functions.

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, including recruitment, selection, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies and programs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels, as well as with senior management
  • Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS)
